Detox. It’s a very powerful word. Both in it’s potential and in it’s danger. The word itself seems to carry more weight than any other in a drug abuse treatment program. There are two philosophies on detox and the addict. The drug treatment centers that want to tell you detox will be easy. It won’t. The other is the thought process that we subscribe too. Detox, like much of the early stages of recovery will be difficult. But it is possible. And once you are past it you will be closer to your pre-drug abuse self than you can imagine.

No real recovery can even begin without first clearing the body and the mind of the residual effects of drug use. We won’t sell you the false hope that it will be easy. If it was, then drug addiction wouldn’t be devastating this country the way that it is. Those drug abuse treatment facilities that are trying to sell you on a quick or an easy fix. They are just selling false hope..

We won’t try to sell you. Not on the ease of detox, the simplicity of rehab, or any other quick fix schemes. Drug rehabilitation is going to be hard. But you don’t have to do it alone. More important that that, it will be worth it. How much work would you put in to regain your old self. Because that is what drug addiction recovery can give to you.

The real point of focus for you or any other addict should be, does this sound to good to be true. If the simple solutions and quick fixes do, it is because they are. If it really was as simple as some facilities want to make it out to be, you would need any help. You would have already defeated your substance abuse. But that isn’t the case. You’re still struggling with addiction. Detox is difficult, Withdrawal can be quite uncomfortable, and rehabilitation is work, it is ongoing work. Let us be there to assist you. We know the struggle and can guide you through it.
